On Tuesday, the boys’ 1BC mentoring group met at Major Cheney Elementary. We did a team-building activity to recognize the similarities and differences between each of us, then broke up into smaller groups to dissect and further explore how each of us can do our part to stop the cycle of bullying and teasing. We told them that they ought to love one another and show respect to everyone, even if they are different.
On Thursday, 1BC: Girls’ Club took advantage of the half day at school and headed to Mrs. Sea’s house for a summer kick-off party! It was also to celebrate the birthday of one of our very special students and all of the summer birthdays.
